New Genesis Singles Ministry will be merging with Crossfire Interchurch Singles Ministry in January, 2012. The post office box, telephone message line, and email address of newgenesis@pa.net will be discontinued on December 31. We will be called "Crossfire-New Genesis" and be under the leadership of Crossfire and Interim Ministry Director, Patti Gilbert. It is important to keep the name New Genesis attached to the Crossfire name so people know New Genesis is still serving singles in the Carlisle area.
Patti has great leadership skills, a servant's heart, years of experience serving singles, serves as a board member as well as Interim Ministry Director of Crossfire, has the desire to see New Genesis survive, and much more. Patti is planning leadership training for our team. In the near future we would like to set up times when Patti can meet our sponsoring church pastors and leaders. We trust our sponsors will continue to financially support Crossfire-New Genesis. We are so blessed to have Crossfire’s leadership team by our side helping us to continue hosting events in Carlisle. Merging with Crossfire is the ideal solution to keeping singles activities in Carlisle.
On Friday, December 30, at our pre-New Years dance at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Marty Line will celebrate 18 years as Director of New Genesis Singles Ministry. Our present Coordinating Team members will be recognized for their service. Some of our team members will be leaving NG while others will remain on with Crossfire-New Genesis. Come out and meet your new director, Patti Gilbert, and the people who will be helping Patti by chairing activities in Carlisle. We hope many of our friends who attend activities through the years will join us for a great time of fellowship.
